Monthly Muffins: November
The January/February 2018 issue of Food Network Magazine included such a fun feature: a muffin for every month of the year!
I’ll be honest: these were not my favorite.
They are a savory muffin and made my house smell like Thanksgiving, but that’s about the only positive thing I have to say about them.
They sounded good in theory; I imagined the flavors of a cornbread-chestnut stuffing in a muffin form, but these missed that mark for me.
The batter was pretty dry, the fresh sage was kid of overpowering, and personally I’ve never been a fan of poultry seasoning.
The recipe claimed to make 18, but I wound up with 30.
It’s probably a personal preference issue, but I wasn’t impressed with these muffins.
