Instagram Roundup: Breakfast Edition

Breakfast.

To be honest, this is one meal that I dread planning out. Despite my best efforts, breakfast at our house is always rushed, and it’s so easy to fall into a toast or cereal or yogurt rut: just grab something quick and let’s get on with the day!

I get bored having the same things for breakfast day after day, and my family definitely does too.

And so, for my very first Instagram Roundup I’ve compiled a few breakfast ideas to help you break out of the same-old, same-old breakfast rut.

First up: Smoothies!

Orange-Vanilla Smoothies

Oranges and orange juice are so often included in breakfast, and for good reason! These smoothies are so delicious and so refreshing in the morning.

Cherry-Vanilla Smoothies

This recipe came from Food Network Magazine’s 50 Smoothies booklet, and Cherry-Vanilla is number 12. But if you need more ideas, by all means check out all of the other 49 smoothies too!

Homemade Granola

This is definitely a make-ahead breakfast, but once it’s made it is so quick and delicious to sprinkle onto yogurt or even just eat plain as a trail mix.

Mango-Agave Granola

Muffins!

I love having muffins on hand. My family loves having them the morning I make them, but they also make for a great grab-and-go breakfasts later. To keep things interesting, branch out from blueberry and try something new.

Coconut Muffins

This link will take you to 50 Muffin Recipes, and Coconut Muffins and number 30.

Dutch Babies

Why are carbs so comforting in the mornings?! A welcome break from pancakes and waffles, these cute lil Dutch Babies are pretty awesome. Be warned that these require a fair amount of baking time, so they’re not exactly a Woke Up Late day breakfast. On the positive side though, it’s fun to get these in the oven, focus on doing hair/packing lunches/finding shoes and then be able to come back to a yummy breakfast.

Dutch Babies

This link will take you to 50 Things to Make in a Muffin Pan, and Dutch Babies are number 48.

Make-Ahead Breakfasts

I am always so happy when I remember to prepare these ahead of time! It’s definitely worth the in-advance preparation to have a delicious, ready-to-eat breakfast (that’s not cereal…) in the morning.

Chia Seed Pudding

Strawberry Overnight Oats

If you’re not already, be sure to follow me on Instagram! I’m @iheartfoodnetmag over there.

Happy Breakfasting!
